But some of the 'X factors' that might also be significant include the internet and social media which are rapidly usurping the legacy media, and exposing leftists to information which challenges their world view (a world view given to them by the dying legacy media).
Also leftism has always been very abstract. Leftists even told us that we needed to attend their special training and buy all their books so we could learn to 'see' patriarchal oppression and systemic racism - things they admitted were vague and tenuous. But since 2020 leftists (along with everyone else) are now being kept under house arrest, forbidden from buying certain products, denied the right to travel, and coercively injected like cattle. They are also being forced to give up gender boundaries for the sake of inclusivity. And this kind of treatment is coming primarily from their own movement.
Also they don't necessarily even need to stop fighting against the patriarchy or systemic oppression or misogyny or corporate power any of these things. All they need to do is realise it's not their neighbours who pose the threat but the a handful of elite technocrats and politicians (again mostly left leaning).
They don't need to give up their primary identity as victims either. In fact they actually ARE victims..... victims of indoctrination, deception and betrayal (and mass poisoning) from their own movement (not from abstractions like far right white systemic racism, sexism and patriarchal heteronormativity).
All I'm really suggesting is that we might see a few more Naomi Wolfs (Naomi Wolves?) among the more intelligent left, as well as a corresponding shift among the younger, more emotionally volatile everyday leftist mob too.
They don't have to go full trad or ancap. They just have to feel betrayed enough by their own side to start questioning their world view and loyalty to leftist policies.
Being a leftist was all fun and games when it gave you instant (and effortless) virtue signalling points, career opportunities, a firehose of funding from the corporations and governments, a platform at the UN to promote the latest lefty/ feminist 'initiative' followed by a delicious banquet, opportunities in Hollywood and university tenure.... but since 2020 the games have gotten a little darker.
Feminists are on the verge of realising their movement was never actually about lifting women up (quite the opposite in fact). And all those lefty celebrities and health experts who pushed the you-know-what have laid the foundation for a powerful reality check and collapse in trust, as people begin to wake up to the reality of what they did to themselves and their children.
At this point the primary victims of the left's strategies of emotional manipulation, virtue signalling, social ostracism, sophistry, fear mongering and brainwashing are the left themselves. If they were ever going to change their world view now would be the time. But for this to happen the conservatives, red pillers, MRAs, anti feminists and traditionalists will might have to show them actual compassion and empathy and give them the support they need to leave the cult, and not just gloat over their 'defeat' and self destruction.
